FAQ
How many people can ride in one Jetcar?
Each JetCar can accommodate up to 3 guests.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
-
Sunscreen — preferably reef-safe
-
Sunglasses with a secure strap
-
Swimsuit or comfortable clothing that can get wet
-
Towel
-
Water shoes or secure sandals
-
Life jackets will be provided
How old do I have to be to drive?
Drivers must be 16 years of age or older. A valid government-issued photo ID may be required before operating an Jetcar.
Can children ride?
Yes! Jetcar is a family-friendly experience. Children 5 years of age and older may ride as passengers when accompanied by an adult.
Do I need experience to drive?
No previous boating or personal watercraft experience is required. Our team will provide safety instructions and explain how to operate your Jetcar before departure.
Is this a guided tour?
Yes. Jetcar is a guided experience, allowing you to enjoy Roatán's beautiful waters while following a planned route with our team.
Can I bring my phone?
You may bring your phone, but you do so at your own risk. We recommend using a waterproof case with a secure strap. Iconiq is not responsible for phones or other electronics that are lost or damaged during the experience.
Can I drink alcohol before driving?
No. Drinking and driving is strictly prohibited.
For everyone's safety, drivers may not operate a Jetcar while under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, illegal drugs, or any substance that may impair their ability to safely operate the watercraft.
Will I get wet?
Yes, you may! Although Jetcars are designed for a comfortable ride, you are on the Caribbean Sea and should expect some water and ocean spray.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Your safety is our priority. Tours may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled when weather or water conditions make operation unsafe. Our team will provide available options if your scheduled experience is affected.
Guest Cancellations
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your scheduled tour are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled tour are non-refundable.
Weather Conditions
JetCar tours operate weather permitting. Light rain or cloudy conditions do not automatically result in cancellation. Tours may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled if conditions are determined to be unsafe due to severe weather, high winds, rough water, lightning, or other conditions that may affect guest safety.
If Iconiq cancels your tour due to unsafe weather conditions, you may choose to reschedule your tour or receive a full refund.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Guests are responsible for arriving on time for their scheduled tour. Late arrivals may result in a shortened tour depending on availability. No-shows are non-refundable.
Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour and are subject to availability. Requests made within 48 hours are not guaranteed and do not qualify for a refund.
I would definitely include the “if Iconiq cancels, full refund or reschedule” provision. Otherwise, the blanket “no refunds within 48 hours” could sound like the customer loses their money even when you cancel because the water isn't safe.
